So... for Christmas I received all seven seasons of Boy Meets World. (Shout-out thanks to my grandma!)
It is February and I am on season seven. I forgot how much I loved this show. The thing I also forgot is how much this show addresses different issues that life throws at us as we "grow-up."
Being a college student now, it is crazy to think that I still am able to connect with these characters. In the past seven seasons, I have watched them grow up. They are sophomores in college. I am a senior in college. Things do change from sixth grade to college. All, of course, which is expected and part of life.
This show has reminded me how blessed I am to have a family who truly cares about me and has my best interest in mind.
Another thing that I have noticed about this show is the Christian overtones that it entails. This family prays together and are not afraid to talk about the hard things.
This show has reminded me how blessed I am to have a family that has raised me in a Christian home that has taught me that we have hope beyond what this world can offer.
I really do not have much more to say. It is just that Boy Meets World will always be one of those shows that I will never get tired of watching reruns. It will be a show that I will allow my future children to watch.
I pray that one day when I have my own family that we can be a family like the Matthew's. I pray that I can be a family like the one that my parent's have blessed me with.
Love,
Kaitie
P.S. Yes, they are airing a spin-off show called, Girl Meets World. I hope that it lives up to expectations.
